The large f1.4 maximum aperture throws backgrounds into a complete blur when shot wide open, as well as allowing you to shoot at faster shutter speeds to eliminate motion blur. The Silent Wave motor promises autofocus that is fast and quiet, further benefiting the comfort of your model and also allowing the lens to be used for video filming with your Nikon DSLR.
