The image quality comes from a full-frame 16.2MP sensor and EXPEED 3 image processor. The physical layout of the camera is a nod to the past, with dedicated exposure dials situated on the sturdy, magnesium alloy body. All of the extras that you need for fully expressive still image shooting are present, such as a cable release socket, hot shoe, flash sync terminal, and a superb pentaprism viewfinder for composing your images. For the modern touch that we can’t do without, the DF does include a large, bright 3.2-inch LCD screen, which can be used for Live View composing.
